Welcome to the website of the The International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS).

The The International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) is responsible for the procurement and overall administration of State provided accommodation and ancillary services for the following groups:

– applicants for international protection,


– suspected victims of human trafficking

IPAS also facilitates the return home of destitute nationals from certain EU States. General services to persons residing in State provided accommodation are mainstreamed and provided by the appropriate Department / Agency. For example, the HSE provide all health services; the Department of Social Protection provide access to the services of that Department and the Department of Education and Skills link both children and adults with local schools, ETBs etc.
